Guests to arrive by 2:45pm Ceremony commences at 3:00pm The ceremony will follow Greek Orthodox traditions. Guests will be guided throughout, and no prior knowledge is required. We kindly ask that guests arrive on time so the ceremony can begin as scheduled.

We would love for you to dress up and celebrate with us, but please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident.

The bridesmaids will be in olive green, and our wedding colours are green, gold, black, and white - feel free to incorporate a pop of these colours if you like!

Transport on the day

Both the ceremony and reception venues are centrally located and easily accessible. As such, we will not be providing organised transport on the day.

We encourage guests to use public transport, rideshare services, taxis, or walking where possible. Travel time between venues is short via vehicle, and there are many convenient options available throughout the city.

Ceremony & Arrival

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive by 2:45 pm so the ceremony can begin promptly at 3:00 pm. Late arrivals may be asked to wait before being seated.

Is the ceremony religious?

Yes. The ceremony will be a traditional Greek Orthodox wedding service. The service is formal and ceremonial, but guests will be guided throughout and no prior knowledge is required.

How long will the ceremony last?

The ceremony will last approximately one hour.

Will there be cultural traditions during the ceremony or reception?

Yes. The day includes meaningful Greek Orthodox and Māori elements. Some moments may be unfamiliar, but guests will be guided throughout the day. We appreciate you celebrating these traditions with us.

Dress Code & Etiquette

What should I wear?

The dress code is Black Tie Optional. We would love for guests to dress up if they wish, but please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident. You are very welcome to incorporate these colours if you like, but there is no expectation to do so.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We will have a professional photographer capturing our day. We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos or using phones during the ceremony at the church so everyone can be fully present. There will be plenty of opportunities for photos afterwards throughout the rest of the evening.

Reception & Celebrations

Where is the reception?

Both canapés and the reception will be held at Public Trust Hall, 131–135 Lambton Quay, Wellington.

What happens between the ceremony and reception?

After the ceremony, guests are invited to join our family for canapés and drinks at Public Trust Hall while we complete photos. Please ensure you are seated by 5:45 pm. The reception will begin at 6:00 pm, with our entrance marking the start of the evening.

Will there be speeches?

Yes. Speeches will take place during the reception before and during dinner service.

Food & Drinks

What kind of food will be served?

Dinner will be served family-style buffet, with a variety of options available.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes. Dietary requirements will be collected via RSVP so we can ensure everyone is well looked after. If you prefer to contact the bride about your dietary requirements, please text her on 0275104569 and she will make sure you are catered for.

Guest List

Are children invited?

We are delighted to welcome children of family members to our wedding. For all other guests, this will be an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding.

Can I bring a plus one?

To help us manage our guest list, only the people named on the invitation can attend. We’re so grateful for your understanding.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know via RSVP if you have any specific accessibility requirements.

Is Parking Available?

Limited parking is available near Public Trust Hall. We recommend using public transport or rideshare options where possible. Detailed parking and transport info will be shared closer to the date.

What happens if it rains?

All ceremony and reception elements are indoors, so the day will go ahead as planned, rain or shine.

Can I share photos on social media?

We love that you want to share the day! Please tag us if posting online. During the ceremony, we ask guests to refrain from phone use so everyone can be present.
